Altering NSW title deeds

The most common reasons where an alteration of Title Deed may be required include:

  • You have recently changed your legal name and wish to have this name registered
    on Title

  • A registered proprietor has passed away

  • Subdivision of land

  • The Titles Office had recorded your name incorrectly on Title, even though your Transfer was prepared correctly

  • You have lost your Title Deed and require a new replacement Title

Please note:  If your property is mortgaged, we will need to notify your lender of the requirement to change your Title Deed. The lender may need to issue new loan documents to ensure the change in Title is also reflected on their records. We will prepare and lodge all the legal documentation to the Land Titles Office so that your Title Deed is registered with the correct information.
